We’ve been having some great weather here in Utah. On Sundays I like to put out bath water for the racing pigeons. The young birds love it. I add a little Virkon S and Borax to the water. The pigeons always look spectacular when the dry off and I never had a problem with lice or mites.
I’ve had my young birds flying both in the AM and PM each day for several weeks. They are flying very well. They are almost all through the moult now and the birds that I pulled flights on have grown them back about 60%. These racing pigeons are looking spectacular. They took the pigeons to 35.517 miles (Kanosh) again today. Birds were released in the afternoon which is a change from their normal routine. Once again they released all the birds together. I received an email from the race organizers explaining that these first few trainers are being released in 3 different groups approximately 10 minutes apart. What that means is, I really can’t take much from these training tosses not knowing what group my birds were released in.
